Cycling in ExeterHaldonHaldon Forest (haldonfreeride.org)is the best free spot for Freeride and North Shore locally, as well as having an extensive network of cross country routes. The whole forest has recently been refurbished by the Forestry Commission (haldonforestpark.org.uk), so there's plenty to ride, whatever the weather. Other areas for freeride include the excellent trails in Okehampton Forest and many secret areas. If you are looking for local freeriders, NorthShoreFreeRiders. Woodbury CommonA huge area for cross county (and with the choice available in the area that is some accolade), but also a freeride spot. There are several bombholes and drops as well as excellently maintained dirt jumps. We're not about to give out directions, but if you want to know where to find dirt jumps, Woodbury's a good place to start. Skate Parks / BMX TracksExhibition FieldsA large street course with Skate-Lite surfacing designated for skating and BMXing. Two sets of ramps provide an opportunity to practice your tricks and grinding. Flowerpot Chill ZoneThis £84,000 skate park was designed by the City's teenagers, making it a 'park for the people'. The skate park, with Skate-Lite surfacing, has a variety of ramps, steps and grinds. A vert wall offers plenty of adventure for those who want it! The park has three quarter pipes and a number of boxes for grinding. The skate park is full of variety that makes it ideal for freestyle BMX riders.
